ABOUT THE ROLE
As a VP of Business Development, you must be an experienced and hungry leader, excited to build and significantly expand Inboxlab’s sales pipeline. You must work to solve problems and push Inboxlab’s growth forward. You’ll be responsible for the management, operations, and development of strategic tactics for the growth of all brands. Further, you will be a key member of our sales leadership team and help shape the development and growth of our brands and their partnerships. This is a senior level position and requires the ability to collaborate with other company leaders. We’re looking for someone who understands and has a passion for business development, sales and digital marketing.
What you’ll be doing
Develop and source a strong pipeline of prospective clients and qualified leads.
Actively manage existing customer accounts, addressing key objectives and strategy, and new sales opportunities.
Hire and develop a team of sales managers that drive direct sales across Inboxlab’s portfolio of brands.
Create a fun, fulfilling, results-oriented culture across the sales team.
Grow the volume of sales and partnerships across brands and facilitate the execution of initiatives with brand and marketing teams.
Assume overall responsibility for developing annual strategic sales plans.
Develop data-driven marketing and brand strategies to drive positive ROI.
Develop effective marketing and lead generation based on data analysis.
Guide the sales messaging and positioning across brands.
Establish methodologies to measure, track and optimize brand strategies based on critical metrics and KPIs.
What you’ll need to bring
7+ years of sales, marketing, or business development experience, 3–5 years of which were in a management or leadership role.
Ability to work collaboratively across internal teams to create strong partnerships that will ensure success in product roadmap, positioning, market awareness, and sales execution.
Proficiency in a comprehensive suite of digital marketing solutions.
Bachelor’s degree required. Individuals with advanced degrees (e.g. MA/MS/PhD) and relevant experience encouraged to apply.
Proven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
A passion for marketing best practices and a commitment to continuous learning for yourself and your team.
The ability to delegate work and manage employees to get their work done independently.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
