About the Role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating sales across all of Inboxlab’s travel and gaming brands. You must be well versed in successful methods to develop new business partnerships through cold and warm outreach. You will work with the Marketing team to establish methods to increase sales for sponsored email campaigns and web experiences. This role reports to the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing and will evolve within the organization as our business scales.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with the sales team to develop a sales strategy; prepare proposals and presentations for existing and new accounts within the US market, including the acquisition of new partners and partner retention.
Develop successful advertising partnerships with major companies to sell sponsorships of email campaigns, social campaigns and web campaigns.
Perform initial outreach, contract negotiation, insertion orders, and execution of partnerships
Develop a strategy and opportunities for out-of-the-box partnerships with premiere lifestyle companies and brands.
Track results and challenges, including all leads that come through the department and gather prospect information.
Measure ROI on partnership marketing initiatives and report the results to leadership on an ongoing basis
Maintain client CRM database
Research and prepare sales reports and analysis on sales performance of initiatives to better fine-tune direction and focus
Act as a liaison with internal departments
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals through account development and new business
Work with colleagues to ensure that opportunities are fully leveraged for the fulfillment of internal and client goals
What you’ll need to bring
7+ years of experience with direct sales
A history of closing 6-figure advertising partnerships
Ability to hit and exceed an annual quota
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Media or related field
A proven ability to plan, develop, and execute online sales strategies
Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to achieve results while working independently
Ability to travel on company business, attend client functions and professionally represent the company
Interest in working across departments and selling for a variety of brands
An agile mindset with “whatever it takes to get the job done attitude”
Experience working in teams and enhanced ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including formal presentations
Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as Keynote
